Save 5–10% on fuel costs. Protect your engines. Reduce emissions.

Fuel Ox® is an EPA-registered combustion catalyst that gives diesel engines a more complete burn — documented fuel-efficiency gains of 5–10% and more in real fleet and mining trials. PFM Global (Pty) Ltd brings it to South African fleets, mines and farms.

EPA-registered additive Developed from Bell Labs technology — protected U.S. military & AT&T bulk diesel since the 1980s Treated fuel stays within ASTM D975 & EN 590 spec Does not void OEM warranties Treat rate 1:10 000 — 100 ml treats 1 000 litres
Why Now

Diesel near R29 a litre. Every percent counts.

South African diesel reached record territory in 2026 — 50ppm sits at R28.76 a litre this month, even after June’s relief, and the levies that drove it up haven’t gone away. For farmers, mines and transporters, fuel is now one of the biggest line items on the books — often 30–40% of operating cost.

You can’t control the fuel price. You can control how much of every litre actually becomes work instead of soot. That’s what a combustion catalyst does — and at a treatment cost of roughly 1% of fuel spend, a documented 5–10% efficiency gain pays for itself many times over.

What 5% means at today’s prices

≈ R61 000
saved per long-haul truck, per year, on fuel alone (≈ 43 700 litres at R28/l)

≈ R1 400
saved on every 1 000 litres of stored farm or depot diesel

≈ 1%
of fuel spend — the cost of treatment. The rest is yours.

What is Fuel Ox®?

A combustion catalyst — not just another additive

Most additives only clean or stabilise fuel. Fuel Ox® goes further: its patented combustion catalyst promotes a more complete, more efficient burn inside the engine.

  • More complete combustion = more power from every litre
  • Dispersant-detergent keeps injectors and fuel systems clean
  • Stabilises stored fuel and inhibits microbial growth
  • Adds lubricity to protect pumps and injectors
  • 100% soluble in diesel, petrol and heavy fuel oil

Why it matters in South Africa

Diesel is one of the biggest line items for any fleet, mine or farm. At today’s prices, even a conservative 5% fuel saving translates into hundreds of thousands of rand per year for a mid-sized fleet.

Add reduced soot, fewer DPF regenerations, cleaner injectors and longer engine life — and the additive pays for itself many times over.

How It Works

Six ways the combustion catalyst transforms your burn

Fuel Ox® Combustion Catalyst Disperses fuel clumps → better fuel–oxygen mixing Lowers ignition point ~110 °C → earlier ignition, longer burn Promotes free-radical formation → more complete combustion Hotter, faster flame → less soot Protects components → no carbon buildup on injectors & valves Cuts emissions → acts like an in-fuel catalytic converter

The Benefits

What Fuel Ox® does for your operation

Improved Fuel Economy

A more complete burn improves fuel economy — documented field gains from 6% to over 30% depending on engine and duty cycle.

Lower Emissions

Cleaner combustion means less soot, smoke and particulate output — and dramatically fewer DPF regens.

Engine Protection

Added lubricity and detergency protect injectors, pumps and fuel systems, reducing maintenance costs.

Fuel Stability

Stabilises stored diesel and inhibits bacterial growth in tanks — critical for backup generators and farm storage.

More Power, Less Noise

Better thermal efficiency delivers smoother, quieter running and improved engine response under load.

Rapid Payback

At a 1:10 000 treat rate the cost per litre treated is tiny — savings typically exceed cost many times over.

Who We Are

PFM Global (Pty) Ltd

PFM Global is a South African registered company and the official distributor of Fuel Ox® products in the region. We work directly with Fuel Ox LLC in the United States — the manufacturer behind the Bell Labs-era combustion catalyst — and hold local stock for industrial supply.

We don’t ask anyone to take savings claims on faith. Our approach is simple: a supervised on-fleet trial on your own equipment, your own routes and your own fuel, measured against your baseline — the same protocol used in the Ghana and UK trials documented on this page. If the numbers don’t hold on your fleet, you don’t buy.

  • South African registered (Pty) Ltd — local invoicing, local support
  • Official Fuel Ox® distributor, supplied directly by the U.S. manufacturer
  • Bulk stock held locally — 208-litre drums to small-format packs
  • Supervised baseline-vs-treated trials before any commitment
  • Dosing support and deployment best practices for depots and workshops
